This was probably the easiest and cheapest gift I made this year. And it went to my thrifty grandma!
Supplies:
Mod Podge, glossy finish
several coordinating colors or patterns of paper
glass candle holder or vase
cheap sponge brush
small candle (or flowers, if for a vase)
Directions:
Tear paper into pieces. Coat an area of the candle holder with Mod Podge; stick on pieces; cover them with Mod Podge. Wait 10 mins or so, then do another area. (If you don't wait, the pieces will all start coming up and you will have to keep reapplying them. Frustrating.) Just do the outside of the glass... the colors will show through to the inside (that's why it's nicer if your paper is not white on the reverse side.) Insert candle (or flowers). Voila!
