Fake Bands

OK, OK, I never update anymore and I am so sorry. For now, all I have is this fun waste of time: creating fake bands, album names and cover art (taken from Lindsey's blog). Consider it a replacement for this week's Tuesday Tunes, which I never got around to posting.

Instructions:

Step 1:Click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The title of the article will function as your "band name."

Step 2:Click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last 4 or 5 words of the very last quote on the page will function as the title of your album.

Step 3:Click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days The 3rd image, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Step 4:Throw all of the ingredients together in Photoshop, ideally in 5 minutes or less.

I used PhotoScape, which is a free alternative to Photoshop. It seems pretty good so far, but what do I know? Anyway, check out my albums... I've even described what I think these bands would be like. I think there was an eerie connection between the band/album names and the pictures that came up. Is it just me?

Accepting this artist onto our label was purely a strategic marketing decision and does not express or imply that we actually enjoy her music.
